Board members vote on new Board members.

How long are the terms of each appointment?

Terms are three years, and members may be re-elected by the Board to serve one additional consecutive term.

What are the requirements of the Board positions?

Strong commitment to promoting the cause of fairness
Willingness to serve a three-year term.
Membership in the Kentucky Fairness Alliance Friends & Family club (requires a contribution of at least $10.00 per month)
Commitment to help raise $1,000 per year, and recruit one new member per month to the Friends & Family club
Service on at least one committee (Standing committees are Executive, Personnel, Finance, Legislative and Board Development)

How many Board meetings are held each year, and where are they held?

The Board holds Saturday meetings in spring, fall, and winter in varying locations, plus a weekend retreat during summer.

How long are the meetings?

Saturday meetings generally run 5 hours, including a break for lunch.
