Yes. As a community member I welcome all types of diversity through the groups I interact with.  Through diversity, Covington will arrive at a new plateau.  We must continue to actively seek out individuals and welcome them into our communiity which is what I have been doing all my life as a Covington resident.

In what ways do you actively oppose discrimination and promote acceptance and tolerance in your community?

I speak up where I see an injustice.  By shedding light and halting diccriminatory words and behaviors, and expectation of excellence and tolerance is cultivated.  We can do better in our city, and I intend to help toward this end."

By insisting on freedom of expression as long as others are respected.

Through my actions, the way I respect everyone and everything.  I treat others the way I would want to be treated.  When people verbally discriminate I correct with how I think they are wrong.  I stopped going to Cracker Barrel when they discriminated with their policy against hiring gays.

In all ways, the way I think, feel and behave.  My 43 y/o daughter is gay.
