Give Fairness this Season!

Most of the decisions that directly affect our lives are made at the state and local level. Kentucky Fairness Alliance is working to meet the challenges that lie ahead for us, but we need your support!

Unlike other regional gay rights organizations in Kentucky, Kentucky Fairness Alliance does not have an endowment. Each year we raise all of the money we spend. Please contribute today to our holiday campaign "Give & Let Live."

In the last year we celebrated:

  • The reinstatement of an Executive Order to protect state employees from job discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity;
  • A resolution affirming the inclusion of sexual orientation and gender identity in existing civil rights protections;
  • A favorable court decision in a KFA lawsuit to withold $11 million in public funding for a rural Baptist college that had expelled a student for being gay;
  • A rural western Kentucky university’s decision to extend nondiscrimination protections to its LGBT employees, the result of an effort led largely by KFA’s chairperson;
  • A favorable court decision affirming local fairness ordinances, allowing a lawsuit by a straight ally fired by a powerful employer because of pro-LGBT sentiments expressed off the job; and
  • The introduction of the hospital visitation bill in both chambers of the legislature.

We need your help to maintain a strong, professional presence in Frankfort.

Through the “Give & Let Live Campaign,” we’re working to raise $20,000 by December 31. Please make your online contribution today!
