Jody Cofer, Benton (chairperson)
Mr. Cofer is employed at Murray State University in the Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity (URSA) office as the Program Specialist. His responsibilities include the coordination of: a statewide program entitled Posters-at-the-Capitol that showcases over one hundred and fifteen faculty-mentored projects performed by undergraduates to members of the Kentucky General Assembly, the annual MSU Scholars Week celebration, Chrysalis: The MSU Journal for Undergraduate Research, and he administers the URSA grant program. Jody has been with MSU since the fall of 2001. He serves on the Meetings Committee of the Equality Federation, the national organization that is a vehicle for state groups to network and address lgbt advocacy issues. He was the founding chairperson of the Marshall County Commission for the Arts and a former board member of the Kentucky Alliance for Arts Education.
Brandon Copeland, Greensburg
Mr. Copeland is a former Board member of the Lewiston-Auburn Human Rights Commission, the African Immigrants Association (AIA), and a volunteer for the Visible Community (an economic empowerment group for downtown residents). While a board member of the AIA, he helped draft articles of incorporation and chaired the Committee on Women and Community Affairs and while a volunteer with the Visible Community. Since June of 2007, he has worked as the Office Manager of a local nonprofit called Working America which is the community affiliate of the AFL-CIO. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and currently a graduate student in Public Administration at Strayer University with a concentration in Non-Profit Management.
David Corbett, Louisville
Mr. Corbett is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Central State ICF/MR, a hospital for individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities, as well as a Realtor in the metro Louisville area. He currently serves as the Corporate Sponsorship Chair for the Louisville Aids Walk and serves on the Beaux Arts Ball Committee for the high profile lgbt black-tie fundraiser in Louisville. He has served on the Board of the Americana Community Center in Louisville and the Metro Louisville Aging in Place Council.
Lee Etta Cummings, Richmond
Ms. Cummings is a native of eastern Kentucky and a resident of Richmond. A longtime member of KFA's Gray Dove Chapter, she joined KFA's Board of Directors in 2007. She seeks to empower Madison County's GLBT community by working on passage of a local fairness ordinance and is committed to KFA's long-term goal of passing a statewide fairness law. The social work values she adopted while obtaining her Master's Degree at the University of Kentucky have equipped her with the necessary knowledge and skills to move fairness forward in Kentucky.
Elise Fullmer, Rough River
Dr. Fullmer has her MSW from the University of Utah and her PhD from State University of New York, Albany (SUNY). Her primary areas of research are with disenfranchised aging populations, particularly people with mental retardation and with gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons. She has worked in state social service agencies in addition to her years in social work education. She has taught at SUNY Albany, the University of North Carolina - Charlotte, and Murray State in Kentucky. She is an avid wood-worker and animal enthusiast.
Jennifer Hicks Londrigan, Louisville (secretary)
Ms. Londrigan is a long-time Democratic party activist, past Executive Director of the Democratic Party, and currently sits on the Democratic State Central Executive Committee.
Jessica S. Loving, Louisville
A Madisonville native, Ms. Loving is a trustee at the University of Louisville and former chairperson of that Board. She has served on the governing boards of the Louisville Ballet, Jewish Hospital, and Leadership Louisville Foundation. Ms. Loving’s efforts have benefited the community for years garnering her a 2007 Women of Distinction award from the Center for Women and Families. She has served the people of Kentucky as deputy commissioner of Tourism and as executive director of the Kentucky Commission on Women. She is a former member of the national American Civil Liberties Union Board of Directors.
Tom Miller, Covington
Mr. Miller is a founding member of the National Gay Task Force now known as the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF). During the late 1960s and early 70s, his first activist role was on efforts to pass a non-discrimination policy in 1970/71. He has been a member of Kentucky Fairness Alliance since 2000 and has a dual role by serving on both the state Board and the Northern Kentucky Chapter’s Steering Committee.
Travis Myles, Louisville (vice-chairperson)
Mr. Myles received his Associates in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Louisville. He later completed his law degree at the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Since then, he has been practicing in the Louisville area on his own. His practice focuses on Social Security disability, probate and estate planning, traffic and minor criminal cases, and he is also a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem for adult guardianship and paternity courts. He chaired the Social Security section of the Louisville Bar Association for two years. He has sung with VOICES of Kentuckiana (a lgbt chorus) and has served as the chair of their public relations committee. He is a member of the Beaux Arts Ball committee which oversees the major lgbt black-tie annual fundraiser in Louisville. He co-chaired that committee in 2005 and 2006.
Donald G. Wenzel, Jr., Prospect
Mr. Wenzel is Vice President at JP Morgan Chase Bank where he focuses on managing large scale strategic initiatives for the bank. He currently sits on the Boards of the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft and the Kentucky Opera. A graduate of Leadership Louisville, he has served on several community non-profit Boards including the Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy, The Louisville Ballet, the Louisville Visual Arts Association, and the Glassworks Foundation. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Denison University, Don obtained his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
Nick Wilkerson, Louisville (treasurer)
Mr. Wilkerson is Senior Vice President of Account Planning for Ketchum Directory Advertising. He is currently on the Boards of the Fairness Campaign, the Committee for Fairness and Individual Rights (CFAIR), the political action committee of the Fairness Campaign, as well as Pandora Productions, Louisville’s GLBT theatre company. He is also an elder at Central Presbyterian Church. He is a graduate of Centre College and Harvard University.
